What I should be doing is studying...

So I picked up the application form for the Level 2 Japanese Language Proficiency Test for this summer. With some luck, the wind behind me and a hell of a lot of study, I might not fail too badly. I do predict a failure but I'm really just taking the test to check my progress. I've been doing some independent study, including keeping a diary in Japanese (something I advise my students to do in English, but which I never really do myself apart from the brief bits of bad Japanese at Light Plays Tricks), but really there's been little to brag about.

And I still haven't written my novel's synopsis yet.

Have an old photo with some (easy) Japanese on it:

  3. @Shawn Thanks a lot. I only hope I can emulate your mad Jedi skillz.

@junhazuki I remember your English being great in 'real life' and whenever you tweet in English it's always totally correct and more understandable than my *native* English.

    Thanks to you both.

  4. If you can dream it, you can be it!!

I'm taking the test myself too, passed level 2 by the skin of my teeth last year, so it's a gauge of my level as well. がんばってね

  5. I hope so.

I have to pay for the test and stuff very soon. I MUST post it super soon. Have been hitting the books every day without fail and I haven't missed a day in my diary yet, which surprises me.

    ベン君も頑張って。
